• You can also opt to book directly in our Booking Office in Hanoi located at 05 Au Trieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

Here are some essentials: Passport, swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, gloves and masks and warm clothes for the cooler months (Nov – March), mosquito repellent,  some cash for additional snacks, beverages, souvenirs and tips, cellphone, camera, a healthy appetite and a good attitude!

Travel Insurance is NOT included. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on confirmed departure dates.

Travelling anywhere without an insurance plan is never a good idea. That is why we highly recommend getting travel insurance before you come to Vietnam.

Fees will be charged in event of booking cancellations:

• Before 48 hours: 25% of booking cost
• 24hours-48hours: 50% of booking cost
• within 24hours or no shows: 100% of booking cost

Bring what you need for 3 days.

Due to limited vehicle space and the nature of  accommodation, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 10 kgs in a backpack or overnight bag.

We offer free luggage storage at Vietnam Cheers Hostel in Hanoi and our Cheers branches in Sapa andHa Giang.

YES. It is an alternative option that you could drive on your own motorbike, which costs $169. However, unless you are a highly experienced motorbike driver, we recommend that you book with an easy-rider to ensure your safety because the roads are extremely challenging.You are required by law to possess and International Drivers License. We are not liable for any accidents, injuries or penalties from the police if you’re not qualified.

From Ha Giang: We will pick you up from any hostel in Ha Giang at 8:00 AM

From Hanoi: The trip departs from our Vietnam Cheers Hostel at 5 Au Trieu Street, Hanoi Oldquarter at 7:30 pm. 

• If you’re staying at another Hanoi hostel, we will pick you up at 6:45 PM
• If you’re staying at Vietnam Cheers Hostel, please be downstairs ready at 7:00 PM

From Sapa to Ha Giang: if you are in Sapa, please contact us before booking.

You will be eating local Vietnamese meals prepared at select restaurants, homestays and hotels. If you are vegetarian, vegan, have food allergies or any other dietary restriction we are happy to cater to you. If you have very specific dietary needs, please discuss this at the time of booking.

Our trips are active, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. If you have any doubts about your suitability for our trips, please check with our Support Team before making a booking.
